Los Angeles, CA (April 27, 2024) - The Denver Nuggets extended their lead in the Western Conference semifinals to 3-0 with a 119-108 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night. Cam Reddish led the Lakers with 25 points, while Christian Wood added 22 points and 12 rebounds. However, it wasn't enough to overcome a dominant performance by the Nuggets, who were led by Nikola Jokic's 37 points and 10 rebounds. Jokic, the reigning two-time MVP, was unstoppable in the paint all night. He also dished out nine assists and had two blocks.

Jamal Murray also had a big night for the Nuggets, scoring 24 points and connecting on a clutch three-pointer in the final minute.

The Lakers, who were without Anthony Davis (foot injury), struggled to keep pace with the Nuggets' high-powered offense. They also shot just 22.2% from three-point range.

The Nuggets now have a chance to sweep the series on Saturday night in Los Angeles. The Lakers will need to find a way to slow down Jokic and Murray if they want to avoid an early exit from the playoffs.
